Terms and conditions for the installation of your carport

Allview Carporte delivers and installs your carport within 30 days of ordering. This is, however, subject to wind & weather, illness and seasonal peaks.

We lay the foundations a week in advance, subject to any additional costs arising from challenges such as large stones or roots. The customer is responsible for building permits, connecting downpipes, disposing of packaging and any adjustments required due to sloping ground. Our cancellation policy and additional costs for unforeseen circumstances apply.

*STANDARD CARPORT INSTALLATION INCL. FOUNDATIONS INCLUDES:

  • Installation within approx. 30 days of ordering. This is, however, subject to peak demand, weather conditions, illness and products being sold out.
  • We will agree on a week in which we plan to install the new carport, shed or carport with shed. The carport and/or shed will be delivered 1-5 days before the agreed installation day.
  • We come and lay the foundations for the carport/shed approx. one week before the actual installation of the carport/shed. Please consider whether the rainwater should run to one end of the carport or the other. It is important to let us know this before installation, as it affects the positioning of the foundations. Drainage from the carport’s or shed’s downpipe is not included in the installation. The customer must arrange for the carport’s downpipe to be connected to an existing drain or soakaway using their own authorised drainage contractor (kloakmester).
  • REMEMBER: It must be possible to dig in the ground with a spade. If there are larger objects in the ground (large stones, roots or similar), additional time may be required to lay the foundations, which will be charged in addition to the agreed fixed price. The area where the carport is to be installed must be cleared. And there must be access to 220V power and water.
 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • If a building permit is required, you must have it in place before we install the carport. It is always the customer’s responsibility to investigate and apply for any building permit.
  • If the ground is very hard, or if there are large roots, stones or other objects that need to be dug up/removed before the foundations can be laid/cast, the extra time spent will be charged.
  • If installation cannot take place on the agreed installation day – and the reason is not due to circumstances on our side – DKK 5.000,- incl. VAT will be charged for the wasted journey and lost working time.
  • You can cancel or move an agreed installation day with 48 hours’ notice. For later cancellations, DKK 5.000,- incl. VAT will be charged for lost working time/scheduled work.
  • The installation team may cancel an installation if it is judged that the weather conditions are not suitable for installation (heavy rain, strong wind or thunderstorms), or in the event of illness. In that case, you will not receive compensation, but we will make sure to agree a new installation date, which will be within a few days.
  • Rainwater from gutters/downpipes is discharged onto the surface. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange drainage to a soakaway or rainwater drain if this is required.
  • If there are paving slabs or stones where the foundations are to be laid, we will move the slabs/stones necessary for us to dig and cast the foundations. It is the customer’s responsibility to relay the slabs/stones after the foundations have been laid.
  • The customer must dispose of any surplus soil from digging the foundations.
  • The customer must dispose of the packaging (large wooden crate as well as cardboard and protective film). Our installers tidy up neatly and put waste in plastic bags, but it is the customer’s responsibility to dispose of these.
  • If the plot where the carport/shed is to be installed has a significant slope, it may be necessary to sink the foundations lower or cast foundations above ground level to compensate for this. If foundations have to be cast above ground level, there is an additional cost of DKK 1.500,- incl. VAT per foundation. Typically, 2 foundations will need to be cast above ground level where the ground has a significant slope.
  • If the carport is to be installed on sandy soil, we will usually need to secure the foundations with ground screws so that the foundations stay where they are placed. There will then be an additional cost of DKK 1.250,- for each ground screw that needs to be installed.
  • It is always best if there is existing paving where the carport/shed is to be installed. If no paving has been laid where the carport/shed is to be installed, it is the customer’s responsibility to mark out the finished ground level (i.e. the level after the finished paving has been laid. We accept no responsibility for the correct height setting of the carport/shed if there is no paving where the carport is to be installed.
  • If the customer regrets their purchase after the products have been delivered but before installation, all freight costs are payable by the customer. Freight must be carried out by crane truck due to the size and weight of the products. We can help arrange freight back to the warehouse. Returning a carport will typically cost DKK 3.750,- incl. VAT (this covers freight both ways).
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to mark out electrical cables, sewer pipes, IT & telecom cables etc. and indicate the position of the carport so that the digging for the foundations does not hit these underground. Any damage to cables and pipes is at the customer’s own risk and must be covered by the customer or their insurance.
  • We recommend obtaining a utility map from the Danish Utility Owner Register (Ledningsejerregistret) (www.ler.dk) so that you are fully up to date on where pipes and cables run on the plot. Please note that it can take up to 5 days to receive updated drawings from this register.
